Master's Graduation Checklist

There are several items you will need to check before graduation clearance is granted:

• Any incomplete course(s) PR, I, NR should have a grade or CR if the course is being counted toward the degree hour requirements (70). Check your DARS report (available through Jill McKinney in Yamada International House) or request a grade report from the Office of the Registrar for the particular quarter in which you have an incomplete.
  
  
• Your GPA must be 3.0 or above
  
  
• A Graduation Check Sheet must be on file. This form lists all the courses you have taken to meet the degree requirements. Be sure that you list courses by requirement -- not by quarter. Total hours must equal 70. Click on the appropriate program to download the form:

  Communication and Development Studies
  Language Track
  Non-Language Track

  International Development Studies

  Latin American Studies

  Southeast Asian Studies
  

• Depending on your program, you must successfully complete a comprehensive written exam, comprehensive oral exam, a final research project or final grant proposal. Submit the approval forms signed by Director.
  
  
• ComDev students must have completed an internship and have submitted a report and an evaluation from your supervisor evaluating your participation in the internship.
  

• Any student completing an internship and counting 5 hours toward degree hours must have the internship packet forms completed and signed and on file.
  
  
• Thesis Students will need to submit the following:
  • Thesis Oral Defense Form with appropriate signatures
  • Thesis Check Sheet w/ signatures
  • Submit the electronic thesis to the ETD Office in conjunction with their deadlines.

You will not be cleared without the above forms completed and in your file.
