Dr. Obregon has an extensive background in teaching and research in development and health communication, as well as professional experience in the area of international development. He has taught and served as an administrator for the Program for Social Communication at Colombia's Universidad del Norte. He has spent over 15 years working in international development conducting research and implementing projects with governments, NGO's and international agencies both as a staff member and as a consultant. Before joining the faculty at Ohio University Obregon served as Regional Communications Advisor in the Child and Adolescent Health Unit of the Pan American Health Organization/World Health Organization (PAHO/WHO) in Washington D.C.
