The Center for International Studies offers certificates in African, Asian, European, Latin American, Southeast Asian and War and Peace Studies for students who wish to add an international dimension to their major, or who are interested in an international career or graduate work in area studies. The certificate is noted on your transcript upon graduation.

The East Asian Studies Certificate is open to students from any major. It will provide undergraduates with a broad understanding of East Asia, as well as with language skills applicable for a wide variety of professions. The curriculum involves courses from four University colleges and many disciplines, and it includes opportunity for education abroad in China at the Ohio Shandong Center in East Asian Studies.
