Alumni Information

International studies alumni find meaningful post-bachelaureate opportunties in their chosen fields of education, the non-profit world, public policy, the business sector and more. The following profiles provide a sampling of the diverse paths taken by international studies graduates.

Kristopher Imbrigotta
International Studies and German, ’03
A native of Lakewood, Ohio, Kristopher won a Fulbright award to teach English in Germany for a year following graduation. He is now a master’s student in the department of German at the University of Wisconsin.

Brianne Gallagher
International Studies-Europe, ‘03

After graduating from OU, Brianne earned her master’s degree in education from Ursuline College and now teaches in the New York City public schools.

Thomas Rotnem
International Studies, ‘86

An assistant professor of Political Science at Southern Polytechnic State University in Marietta, Georgia, Thomas earned a MA at Ohio University and a Ph.D. at Ohio State University. He also received a graduate certificate in Russian Area Studies at Ohio State University.

Arianna Rabindranath,
International Studies-Asia, ’96

Arianna works for the Asia Society in Washington, D.C. Previously she worked for the Education Abroad Office at Ohio University. She earned a graduate degree in Southeast Asian Studies from OU.

Allen Clinton
International Studies-Latin America, '97

Allen is the Public Relations Manager for the
international humanitarian organization CARE, based in
Atlanta, GA.

Stacey Walter
International Studies, ‘93

Stacey earned a graduate degree in Linguistics at Ohio University and later earned her MD from the University of Pittsburgh. She is now a medical resident in Duluth, Minnesota.

Maren Muckler
International Studies-Europe, ‘03

Maren is the Business Development Manager for the Journal Community Publishing Group in Lancaster, Ohio.

Vincent Straub
International Studies-Latin America, ‘03

After completing his degree Vincent served as a Peace Corps volunteer working on protected area management projects in Honduras.

Danielle Skinner
International Studies-Asia, ‘02

Danielle teaches English in Hiroshima, Japan.

Golda Arthur
International Studies-Europe ‘95

Golda was born in India, grew up in Dubai, worked as a journalist for the Canadian Broadcasting Company and is now associate editor for Touch BASE Online: The
Magazine for Global Canadians in Halifax, Canada.

Krisha Corbo
International Studies-Latin America, ‘98

Krisha is the Program Assistant for Social Accountability International. Before joining SAI in 2001, she served in the Peace Corps in Romania. She earned a master’s
degree in International and Intercultural Management at The School for International Training in Vermont.

Stuart Hake
International Studies, ‘78

Stuart earned a graduate degree in Business Administration at Ohio University and is the Chief Financial Officer and Director of Administration for Grace Brethren
International Missions headquartered in Winona Lake, Indiana.

Cynthia Zeki
International Studies-Latin America, ‘83

Cynthia is an Assistant Professor in the English Language Program at Roosevelt University in Chicago, Illinois. She earned an MA in Linguistics at Ohio University and a Ph.D. at Ohio State University.

Zachary Garinger
International Studies, ‘05

After graduating from Ohio University with a degree in international studies and a certificate in teaching English as a foreign language, Zachary traveled to Malaysia on a Fulbright teaching assistantship.

Bridget Corson
International Studies-Europe, ‘00

As a student services associate at Franklin University, Bridget provides comprehensive advising at the undergraduate level. She serves on the Board of Directors of the United Nations Association-Columbus, Ohio Chapter.
