The Center for International Studies offers an interdisciplinary Master of Arts degree in five academic programs, each of which is headed by a director. Students may concentrate on one of three major world regions; or, they may select from either of two programs with an international thematic focus:
Program requirements vary slightly for each major. Specific details can be found on each program's web site. All graduate applicants must apply to Ohio University's Office of Graduate Studies for admission. A list of application materials and deadlines for application can be found in Application Information. Sources and deadlines for those interested in financial aid can be found in Financial Aid Information.
The Center jointly administers with the College of Arts and Sciences a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies (BAIS) degree. The degree program, in which students concentrate on a world region (Africa, Asia, Europe, or Latin America), is designed to prepare students for international careers in law, government, business, education, health, communications, or service.
